A one-day course, delivered by Sustrans, which will give you the skills and knowledge to confidently lead walks. A variety of topics are covered over the day, including health benefits f walking, the role of a walk leader and safety issues. The day is light-hearted and interactive and, of course, involves going out on a walk.

Egglescliffe Village Excavation Project – Summer 2015

This will involve doing small testpits throughout the village looking for evidence of English Civil War and Medieval activity. It is expected that this will take place over a five day period and dates will be finalized by the end of May.

There will be opportunities for non-physical work including washing finds and showing people around.

No previous experience of excavation is necessary
